haha that's the structural analysis form. Fill in airspeed weight cg and altitude for various segments of the flight including what type of receivers and how long they were back there. More FE job security I guess.

    Advise and Help for Leni
I'm beginning to think Leni needs our help.
Our help surrounding the general topic of Women.
I truly believe he's doing it wrong.

I don't think it's to the point where he needs to consider changing "teams", but that may be his only option soon considering he's in Alaska and at this point he has now married and divorced something like 73% of the available women there.  He's going to have to start over with the female population or expand his target options...

Wowie, what a view! The brass could use some of your pics for new recruit posters.

Doug, I hope your beautiful upholstery job didn't go with the plane.  That alone is a work of art.

Beauty pics, Joey.  Hard to imagine flying at 565 Kts coming from the KF background.  I hope you used your #2 pencil on that SAT test sitting under your  W&B chart.

Bright orange surveyors streamer, some electrical tape and a short piece of old fuel line works great!

I'm going to have my wife look at this message just so she can see that she really did hitch her wagon to a star!!!!   I can hear it now, me saying, really, really, dear, you did.  I actually did finally get the rest of the finish tapes on the second wing in the last few days.  If I could just stay working on the projects instead of getting sidetracked, maybe I could reduce the # of projects I have.   Hope you have lots of fun with your new plane Greg.  Jim Chuk

I'm certainly going to take good care of it.  I've had my eye out for the right one for a few years now.
I grew up in the co-pilot seat of a pressurized Cessna Centurion.  My father would fly quite a bit for business and I would tag along.  He ended up selling the plane about 20 years ago due to medical issues and I've missed flying ever since.
I decided to start flying about 5 years ago thinking I would go the private pilot route.  I just didn't realize how expensive it was going to be.  It wasn't much fun at $110 an hour plus instructor costs.
I decided I would go the light sport route to get in the air but there are no LSA planes around here to rent so I started looking for one.  My instructor mentioned a kitfox and there is another gentleman around here that had a couple model IVs that was nice enough to let me fly with him.  I fell in love with the plane and started keeping my eye out for the right one.
    So here I am now...

In the how to fly a Kitfox book they use this analogy over and over again.

yes.  If you have a clutch its even worse!  That prop freewheeling is a HUGE air brake.  Trust me, when the engine quits you look pretty much straight down, pick the smallest rock or tree and try to hit that one.  Even worse on floats!  But I still LOVE my avid and will keep flying it till I can't fly no mo!

What you say.  I'm finding this is the most comfortable to operate in.
Now my concern is a deadstick scenario.  Better to be thinking in terms of clear area immediately below.

I guess it's kinda like comparing a tennis ball and badminton birdie with respect to the effects of inertia.

It's bitter sweet.  I got a lil of the sentimental side to me as well.  I find it very hard to turn loose of something that has brought me great pleasure (except for the wives)   Sowmachines, boats, airplanes.. I tend to hang onto forever.

Glad it went to a good home and that you will still get visitation!

Welcome to the forum, looking forward to hearing your adventures and thoughts on flying the bird.  I too get lots of looks when I am hauling my plane.  Stopping at the gas station to fill up jugs with the plane behind me always turns into a long BS session with someone at also at the pumps.

Spendy lil buggers.  My penny tech streamers have been working fine in the meanwhile.  But, maybe another one of those lil winter boredom-blues projects to fiddle with my scrap aluminum.
Of course the real value in EDMO's thread/posting was to force him to sort out his "worry-free" camera -:)  Nicely done sir.

WOW - 145 mph on a C-85!  We need Buttercup wings on our slow AvidFoxes!  I would bet that it don't slow down as quickly as our wings tho...
