Just in case some of you don't know about the maker of the Artic Sparrow mixture control - Mike Jacober was a friend of mine at Birchwood Airport, Alaska - and I'm sure that Leni and Suberavid know a lot more about him than I do. He set some altitude records in Alaska before he was killed in a crash.

Luke,
My mind has been somewhere else for a while - When I find it, there will be more coming!
Thanks,

Ron,
you can always swap ends with the turnbuckle If you have room to put it by the rudder - I prefer them to the straps for better adjustment of cables.

I'M BACK - Bad start for the New Year!
In the first 3 weeks of 2015, my phone, microwave, space heater, wife, and computer all crashed!
Replaced first 3, and repaired the last 2.
About every 5 or 3 years I get too smart to fool with a computer - When Joey posted pdf files, I forgot that I could save them to Word, and read them - instead, I remembered that someone had told me to download "Open Office" to read them -
I downloaded "Apache Open Office" and immediately got a bunch of BAD shit with it and the puter started crashing!
Best Buy cleaned it up for me for $$$ after I spent $$$ for another computer so that my daughter could continue her college courses while I fixed my screwup.
I had all my passwords and stuff on index cards and always logged in automatically - then, my cards were gone as well as my memory of stuff like passwords to AFF and emails.
I found out that this site is veery well protected, as it took about 30 tries to even get my password back or try to log in as another newby under another name - Nothing seemed to work!
Glad to hear that so many of you missed me and my typical BS!

Braaaap I'd love to have a plane with this engine and twin SLP pipes down the side!
For a guy that lives less than a 1/4 mile from the snowmobile trail, "braaaaaap" is almost an unforgivable curse word. Especially at 2 am...

Sure there right in that little flat spot on the trailing edge aren't they, that's what I thought, are they pop rivets or nice little squeezed rivets and thanks for the response. Here is the beast.

Hi,
I'm posting this for Ed in Missouri. His computer is on the fritz and he is offline until it gets fixed. He has what you are looking for. If interested, PM me and I'll PM his phone number back.

Do any of you know what I need to do with the trailing edge of my flaperon on my kitfox 1, does it need to be riveted together or let the glue be enough. If I do need to rivet it together and you have a picture please post it so I can see how they are laid out thanks.

That's the info I need, 07-09, is the castings and crank output the same, my friend is using a 2010 snow pro sled for electrical and engine, says some of the engine components were lighter?

Key word being light. I have 20 hrs behind one and side by side the same machine with a 582 would outperform it in every aspect except fuel burn they sip gas. With two people on board it was marginal. I think it would be a better match for a single seat skyraider or maybe an A model.

I've seen a few of them (HKS) on Barnstormers in the last 6 months or so for around $5000. Should be a nice engine on a light airplane. Jim Chuk

It depends on the year. 07- 09 were bullet proof, then they started changing it up. To get 160 hp it's gonna be running hard. I figure off the dyno charts it should be around 120 at 6800 rpm. It's a 76-7800 rpm engine in a sled.

I had good luck spraying thinned out latex with a Harbor Freight gun. I attended a latex seminar at Oshkosh. Lots of people have had it work out for them. Check out Weinerdogaero.com

He had some computer troubles last time he posted. Sounded like a browser/ popup flooding. I hope he didn't think it came from this site.

Great feedback guys. Many thanks. Yep, I do have the CD's from Stewart. Watched them several times through teh covering process. Now need to do the same with the painting. Did watch them one and see the pass speed is faster than I am used to (more like a fast fog in a way).
