    Felix,

    She is a beaut!

    What engine do you have?

I'm still building mine, so I haven't made or found a POH yet. I bet somebody on the yahoo forum has one they made. Are you part of the yahoo group yet? The site sucks compared to this one, but some guys haven't made it over here yet and still follow that site closely.

I think I have the complete Magnum Manual, so if you need something let me know.

    Great looking Magnum, enjoy it!

Get the Police and FAA involved...that A-hole doesn't need to be flying!

The Owner will never get enough money to replace his plane and suing people sucks! More hassle than it is ever worth and it takes so long that you find yourself stuck thinking about the bad situation for longer than it is worth! Plus, the lawyers take such a large chunk that it would not replace the damage!

Punish him with jail or losing his ticket, Please...Nobody else needs him doing that to their plane.

I agree with Ed. The court house just scares me anyway. I didn't read the story but if the guy who screwed up had any balls he would just come clean. Now having ground looped once myself I can say fixing that wing is doable. Just a real big pain in the ass(checkbook). Gentlemen.

Leni or Joey, how do you copy and paste? The normal functions of control C or V don't work and neither does right click to bring up those options. There has been several times when I needed this for some reason or other and can't do it.

Same goes for adding a link in my posts. It just won't let me do it. Am I restricted or is that they way the forum is set up? When I try to add a link it just freezes the forum for me completely until I back out, and wipes out what I've written before trying to add the link.

    Any suggestions?

Yes, but the engineering is far beyond my feeble mind - I have an engineering design book that shows them, but they also had a wind tunnel to test them in.  Some of them are wild and complicated.

If anyone wants an engineering book that most people can understand - It is called "Design of the Aeroplane" by Darrol Stinton, a test pilot and engineer in England.  (May be out of print now?)  Lots of good design info.

His other book, "Anatomy of the Aeroplane" is practically useless for us, and I have it too.

I wasn't aware that the map way to do it would be that difficult but I would like to see something more than a thread where it's easier to search for others. Since I know most pilots are visual thinkers I just figured being able to see it in a general local would be the best. If Google maps are so hard to use, is there another way for us to put up a map and have people pin their location on it with information?

In my case there are many times when I might be in a state I'm not familiar with and wouldn't know the names of any of the towns to even search for member. Maybe a map isn't the best way to do it but I'm open to helping set something up if people are willing to use it, at least with what limited knowledge I have. I do have time if someone wants me to just help out. Again, I'm open to ideas and suggestions. I have a brother that is an I.T. guy and might be able to beg him for help too is there is a good idea for this.

Just a thought that might be able to help anyone that might need a place to crash (not literally), just want someone with the same ideas to hang out with etc.

WingX is a beautiful program. It's very fast and user friendly and I think it blows foreflight out of the water overall. I fly with another pilot that has foreflight and hes amazed at the speed and simplicity as well as the functions wingX has. I just added the Geo Reference and it opens up a whole new world of awareness.

This is a great idea. Over at advrider they have a "tent space" thread. Maybe we could set up something like that:

This actually came in handy for me once. A couple of years ago while on a cross-USA motorcycle trip I found myself  in a bind in Colorado Springs when all the hotels were filled one evening. I found a fellow an "inmate" on the thread who offered me space to sleep for the night in his home. I declined though and settled for my tent in the back yard.

Sorry Richard. Still haven't heard back from the administrator. If I remember right, he is active duty military, and sometimes not around.

Very good site, particularly for scratchbuilders, tons of info. I am a member there also but don't recall anything special or particularly confusing about their registration process. Perhaps someone here who is not a already member would be willing to go through the registration process and provide you some help. EDMO, would be a good forum for you to join!
