Former engineering test pilot for Sikorsky Aircraft (if it doesn't hover, it really doesn't fly!) Now at a desk job, I bought an Avid Flyer to keep having fun. I bought Jim Peet's MK IV with a Rotax 582, and it is a ball to fly. Jim did a really nice job, the aircraft is as smooth and trimmed as any I have flown. I flew it across the country from Stockton, CA to Guilford Connecticut, about 2500 NM, and it was a lot of fun.
