  1. Mayb could talk me out of my modified model one, but u have to take everything i have for a model one with it, and that b up in price, i have enough parts to build a second plane, but if those others r to spendy for u, u mayb better off lookin for something that needs work like Rentz has. Mine would cost u $30,000 with everything including skis, floats, 24” tires, open trailer, and all parts.

I would possibly be iinterested in the parts if there was a fuse and wings with it. Need a starting point for a project.

  2. Looking for a avid airframe and wings.  In short I'm going to use it to build a new type of airplane but the avid airframe would be a great base to start with. Let's just say the Spirit of St Louis is going to start becoming a kitplane.  Verner radial for power its all in the works.

  4. I know this is for avids kitfox etc but maybe someone is looking for a go fast plane. I have a tri q project that needs a home. It's in tub mode ready for wings to be installed. Tons of parts come with it . No avionics, nose gear or cowl. Asking 4000 located in Zephyrhills, FL can't seem to load pictures

  5. Well I recently got a sonerai 2 and need a longer prop. It has a great plains 2180 with a 52×46 and is more climb then I want . I am looking for a 54×46 prop with a 6 bolt pattern 4 inch spacing and 2.75 hub thickness.  Sterba retired and I really don't want to wait 4 to 6 months for a Culver.

  6. I just upgraded to lithium. Best choice I've ever made. Way lighter and cranks at insane speeds.

  7. Chopndrag, I don’t know if you have done much research into the Yamaha motors but you might look at the apex, it seems the weight difference is negligible. The apex has a way bigger following but more importantly more people are stepping up to provide the aviation specific parts for the apex engine.

My hanger neighbor has been running the 3 cylinder model for over 300 hours with zero issues and it works great. Plus the dimensions are almost exactly the same as a 582.

  8. I need a 582 fwf

That looks like a break Foundation to start with. I just started the journey of pulling this tank VW off the front end of my Avid A model. I might be very interested in that 582 FWF. I know you would have is a kitfox but I'll be fabricating mounts anyways.

I have a 582 I'm selling soon minus gearbox and radiator. Going with the 3 cylinder Yamaha in my avid soon.

  9. I see you have that round cowl installed.  Do you think it will work for the Yamaha engine?  Some one else I know of is going to put a Yamaha in their Avid, and we were trying to sort out what cowl will work for them.  They are using the RX1, I'm not sure of the size difference from the 3 cylinder.  Thanks,  JImChuk

The measurements are damn near exact for both my 582 and the 3 cylinder Yamaha. I think there's maybe a 1/4 inch difference in the height which I have plenty of room for.

  10. Took a break and was doing a ton of work on my plane. Ended up painting it and way to many other things to list but I did keep the radiator in the cowl and it stays at 160°  in the summer heat woohoooo. Now if I could get pictures to load that would be great.
