  1. Well id say never use thier bolts, and ill bet they stopped selling bolts cause of the streching problem, they must b grade 5 or lower bolts, id pitch them in a round receptical and go buy some grade 8 hahahahaaaaa

  2. I hear u there, I was more on Jims commet i guess on the model 4 and thinkin the price for the one my friend has is CHEAP, id love to have it but thats all i need is another plane project, i just finished the 1947 PA12 build in Nov and only 15hrs on it, a summer of mining kind of takes the time away faster than u realize. Hahahahaaaa

Get diggin' and start buying!! You'll be snowed in before you know it, hehe.

Get to diggin??? U know what it takes to dig 140’ off the side of a mountain to get to bedrock? Hahahahaaaa  Man ive been digging all summer and still have more to go. Mayb b there befor end of this month.

  3. Good price if you're in AK but costly to ship back to the lower states I would imagine? Not sure that is a direct competition though. The A+ is higher gross, cabin is the same 43"w as KF 5-7 and can be built a heck of a lot lighter for less than half the price of the current KF models. It is for sure slotted somewhere between the KF 4-1200/Avid Mk4 and KF7 models as to size and capabilities. It may well represent the best price point bargain Avid (or original Airdale, if you know your history) ever produced, but they are rarer than hen's teeth with only 7 complete kits sold as Airdale was focused on marketing the Fat Avid fuselage retrofit to existing Avid owners.

  4. Hi all,  a guy on the Team Kitfox forum posted a picture of his IVO prop were he had replaced the SS protection tape with a 3M product that is made for helicopter blades.  He says it has stood up better then the SS tape IVO supplies.  I have several props I would like to put the tape on, so I got looking and found where I can buy a larger roll of the tape.  The bigger roll would be more then I need however, and so I figured I would throw this out  there.  Does anyone want to try this tape on their props?  If I get the roll, I could sell three 1' pieces for $10.50 shipping included.   IVO gets $8 each plus shipping for the SS tape.  Anyone interested, send me a PM.  Here is a picture of his plane with the tape on the prop that I borrowed from the Team site.  JImChuk

hey Jim count me in for a set of those tapes. How many sets will u have to sell off ur roll i may take two sets.  Thanks Bucky.

  5. Well his price is pretty good compared to the Ivo prices, im not sure about that 66.9 diameter, always thought the 68” was the smallest and 72” was largest on a model one with a 582.  Guess next ill have to c the specs between the two.
Well as for the Ivo, i love the aggressive pitched pro i have on it, I also have a 68” non aggressive pitch on my other kitfox with same motor and u can really tell the difference between them, so IMO pretty hard to beat their customer service and price.

Also dont like the 3+week wait Meglin so ill probably just stick with the Ivo it works JUST fine

  6. Well MEGLIN checked out your website, i don't need another prop really, but if ur prop is so good compared to others i would sell my prop on the plane and the spare blades, how much is the comparable  prop price (IN US FUNDS) on ur prop to my IVO a 68” 3blade aggressive pitch? Kitfox model 1, grey head 582,Cbox, flying weight 496lbs,

  9. Mayb could talk me out of my modified model one, but u have to take everything i have for a model one with it, and that b up in price, i have enough parts to build a second plane, but if those others r to spendy for u, u mayb better off lookin for something that needs work like Rentz has. Mine would cost u $30,000 with everything including skis, floats, 24” tires, open trailer, and all parts.

  10. Well sometimes they have to go away to a new home, and the KF5 did just that, sold her and she went to Wasilla for rebuild b4 she will go to her new home in Nome Ak. Kevin the new owner is an great guy, has been lurkin around on here he said, i told him one of the best thing he could do is join the group and learn for everyone here just like i did. So we all will c the rebuild of her continue.

The pa12 is done and sittin at Charlys in Wasilla so dont need 3 airplanes or another airplane project right now, so its time to fly the pa12 and the KF1 and have some fun.
