  1. I had the same thing happen to me with a 582 and I wouldn't fly behind another 582 again ( sorry if it affends anyone but once bitten twice is shy ) the r100 conversion wasn't easy but it has well over 200 hours on it and I haven't had any issues and runs like a dream.

  2. Really like the engine installation and the interior work on the seats. I would like to do something similar with my kitfox in both regards.

Thank you very much, I got the idea for the seats from kitfox then I had them made, the fabric is heavy duty cordura.

  3. Hi Ken

I'm in the UK as well and have an avid but if you go to the laa website and look through the inspectors and find Simon goozee he is based in Bournemouth and has hundreds of hours on avids with 582 and kitfox. Very good guy and friend of mine and he will take you up in yours.

If you want to my number then inbox me and I'll send to you and if you need anymore help.

    Kind Regards

    Richard

  4. Hi guys

Thanks for responding, the aircraft is already build and flying but loss of medical forces the sale but the panel isn't that great so not a big project and it's a good deal. I love flying the avid and have done for 4 years so won't be selling her BUT I have a sports crusier that I don't really fly that much but should do, decisions decisions.

  5. Hi guys

I've been looking at a new project aircraft and I'm thinking about the sonex Tail dragger with the aerovee and as there are only a handful of them flying in the UK and I wanted to see what you guys think of them ?

  6. I have full sized aluminium wing tank and all the cad drawings to go with it as we had to get it approved in the UK and it's been in my avid for many years now without any leaks

  8. I wonder what hoops I would have to jump for a 670 in the UK.......

far to many or just don't tell them lol ( I don't recommend the last suggestion). You will have to fly at least 25 hours in it to get the approval once installed.

You should speak to Fredstock on here as he has the  Simonini Victor 2
Weight, size, engine mount as 532/582, 92 HP and seems to be working very well.

  9. Hi guys

Thought I'd post some pictures as I have now made my new seats and instrument panel so will need to fit them. Here they are what do you think ?

  11. We have all been told to take the engine numbers down but it is a massive problem in the UK and they are just cutting all the wires, pipes and taking the engines, props still attached to the mount at night and there have been a huge amount gone missing

  12. Somehow, they look like more $pendy than our Avids & Foxes.  EDMO

yeah just the bare kit with out avonics is around £50,000 so that's nearly  $70,000 but our avids and kitfox have a higher stress rating with +6 -3 and the bristell is +4 -2 so we have one up on them lol.
