    I just thought it would be as simple as going to (AS) and picking a couple of them up on their website. I picked up a pair or 42” trike skis from a guy in north pole ( fiberglass ) . The ss fittings are on the skis but i need 4 more for the fuselage attach points. I already picked up th new bolts when i put on the shock monster suspension. Cant wait to put the skis on. They are half the weight as my 29s and with density altitude at -4k alot of days around here right now, flying should be pretty good

    Jim, $450 for two tanks, $70 shipping to Alaska was included in the price. When i finish the underside, I’ll post some pics. He sent me two brass fittings and i drilled and tapped and jb welded them in.

    I got a hold of Stace in Idaho and he shipped me out two tanks. Got um in and now gotta wrap it up and get back in the air.

    Tony does an excellent job with the ShockMonsters. Picked me up some for mine and I’ll never go back to conventional gear or if i do get a Kitfox in the future that doesn’t have these on.....they’ll be the first thing i replace. Tony was great to work with and help out with indexing the axles and mounting plates for the disc brake upgrade i did at the same time. Two thumbs up ! Just call me no bounce from now on.

    Spars still all in great shape with no damage even after having to cut out the tank. Has anyone delt with wingtanks.com ?

    Jim, since i didnt get a build manual with this plane and am not familiar with the wing construction, is the tank structural? Its riveted, bolted  and epoxied . Hoping i can get it out without replacing one of the ribs.

    Wing tank leak
    Mark IV speedwing. I think they are 5 gal tanks. Whats the best way to attack the problem ? From the top or bottom? 5 gallons leaked out of the left bottom of the wing in about 20 min flight time.

    Thanks for all the input guys. Has anybody taken out the adjustment bolt and gotten more than 15% flap . Seems that if i remove it, i’ll be able to get much more. Good idea or not ?

    Doesn’t look like much to me beside maybe trim for level flight at cruise and i really dont need them for that because i have electric trim on the elevator. Does anyone have a pic of the flaperon @ full on ?
