We have a thing... if we see the other guy eyeing up a line he wants to take on a hill, we cut each other off and "poach" the hill from them...
He came in from the left and behind me hitting my ski and tie rod. As my sled flipped, my foot went under his track as his running board crawled up my leg. the track spinning my ankle around is what did the damage...
The only damage to his sled was my handle bar going through his seat.
I just have a super Q can on the sled, stock pipe.
yes we get full daylight from about 10:00 to 4:30 or so... we are gaining again now on the day light. I think it was around 3:45 or so when we did the deed.. I think it was around 5:30 or 6:00 and full dark when we got back to the cabin.

I am not sure if I will be flying up or not... seems I have done something stupid and ended up in a boot on my left leg and ankle.. not to easy to get in and out of the plane. good thing I dont have to mess with toe brakes this time of year! If I can get into the plane and head up your way I will let you know. I could have had my kid shoot the starter to you and you could have been flying already! I took mine down to Garys electric in Soldotna and had it rebuilt for about 50 or 60 bucks (cant remember but know it was under 100 by a long shot) new brush plates etc. were 35 bucks.
I am real interested to see what kind of performance you get out of it with the subie. You new gear looks beefy!

well.... all is not better.. on many fronts one of the vids will show a couple idiots trying to defy a physics law that says two objects cant occupy the same space at the same time... Captn Morgans and Crown Royal tried to prove otherwise. I now have a stupid boot on my leg and not much use of my left ankle Oh well, it was a hell of a party, and a great weekend anyway. now to get my leg good enough to push on a rudder pedal in the next week and a half and I will be happy

Have you run the engine yet? what prop you planning on running? Did you have to bend you wing attach points at the fuse like Jack did? Do you think the crimping of the tube is detrimental? I would be tempted to put a gusset of some sort on it to get the strength back in that area....

Hey Randy. Posting pics is easy... just click the button that says click to attach files and then navigate to where ever you have the pics on your computer... I have a new 582 starter sitting on the bench. I can ship it up to you if it will get you into the air quicker. I am leaving Tuesday for 2 weeks at work, but if the weather permits, I will be flying up your way when I get back.. I have a buddy that has a place on fish creek lake that I hope to hang at for a few days. I will be ferrying in fuel from willow so I should be able to swing by Wolf Lake and check out the fat bastard.

heard way too many horror stories on 670s.. Gonna stick with my Arctic 800 plans as soon as the court shit is over and I know what I will have to deal with... oh that and as soon as the ankle heals from a high speed drunken snowmachine uhoh... good thing was I got it on video

if you are going to use a water heater, you wont get enough flow out of the 1/8" line to do anything. The 2 I have flown with water heaters were plumbed inline on the main water lines. you can get the old heater valves out of a dodge van that will allow you to pull the heater knob and bypass the system so you can shut it off on the winter.
I am using a muffler heater we made, and it will keep the chill off at about-10. at 10 or 15 degrees, I am flying in blue jeans and a light jacket with no gloves. I can try and get some pics tomorrow of the set up on mine, and the one I put on wagonmasters MK IV. they both work great!

500 and a thousand would be a god send sometimes... the flight up to the cabin I was down to less than 100 and 200' the trees were about 50' off my wing tips and it was hard to see them at times..... dumb people sometimes do dumb things... especially when there is a soon to be Ex involved and you are getting the hell away from her

I got a quote from avemco. They wanted 1600 on wheels or skis, 5200 on floats.. for liability only. This was with 1600 hrs tail wheel and 400 hrs in type.

SWEEEEEEETT! Been inthe 40s and raining here, I only got in a couple quick flights so far this week... Yesterday and to riding the mountains on the snomachines... would have been epic snow, but it was mixed rain and snow all day with EXTREMELY flat light conditions. at times, on flat and level ground it felt like you were moving even with the sled shut off... not good for being in the mountains!

Be damn careful and test in a small place first.. may be able to hit it with a scotch bright pad to take the overspray off too.... I would go down to the street corner, find a couple rattle can artists, buyem a case of paint and turn them loose on his plane...
