It's not only a problem of density altitude
after 800 m, the aircraft just take off but it was a pain in the ass and the pilot doesn't wonder why !
800 m after, at the end of the track (you can see it on the right, with a lot of water on it) it can't take altitude, and the pilot still don't wonder why
3 km later, still no altitude and still no question in the pilot's mind
I don't know what is a "commercial pilot" but I guess it is a professional pilot
With all the grass between the track and the forest the best solution was to land in a field
not in the forest !!!

transponderHi all
I will install a second hand Becker atc2000 a/c in my avid
There's no way to add it on the dashboard and the onliest location I can use is between the foot pilot / passenger (I will have to find a new location for the radio)
is there anyone with such an experience ?

what is your propeller, max rpm (ground and air), speed at 2750 / 2850 rpm and landing distance on a grass strip ?

I've got a 3 blade "duc" propeller( http://www.duc-helices.com/anglais/choix.htm ) max rpm (ground 3200, air : , 125 km/h @ 2750 rpm and need 100 m to take off)

I broke my first Jabiru when I was a "beginner pilot"
during my flight lessons with my instructor he always chuted off the engine one, two three times or more in half an hour so I lurn how to land anywhere.......... except the threes
I did a lot of work on my jab and I know it will broke in the sky (but I don't know when !!!)
So I always fly with what we call "une vache" (a field of cow) under the plane
as you could see, It's not a matter of rotax !
