    Another huge reason to use separate switches for the ignitions instead of the left-right-both-start switch.

    Lockwood set me up with the whole works including pins, plugs and the brackets to hold the plugs.  They had done this several times previously and had the list of needed parts at hand.  They even sent me a couple extra pins so I could screw one or two up in the process.

    I replaced the modules on my engine way back when I first got her flying and at that time rewired them for 6x6 plugs from the original 4 wire plug.  Easily done, and now I have the OEM soft start feature.

    I have 2-piston Grove calipers and standard Cleveland master cylinders on my plane that work acceptably well with my 26" Airstreaks.

    20 hours in 10 years, the motor is needing rebuild or replacement.
    The model 4 wings and flapperons do not work properly with the early Avid style mixer.  This plane will handle questionably.

    That is the same prop that I have.  It is a great LIGHTWEIGHT prop that performs very well.

    I can't help with drawings, but just an idea:
    If you do your own mount, design it to use the Rotax Ring style mount.  This gives you more options for engines and factory parts than the four-leg style that is commonly used.

    Mark 4 Avid is comparable to a Model 3 Kitfox.
    Very few, if any, parts would be interchangeable between them.

    I love my Grove gear.  I am biased, but I don't see the benefit of the "bush" shock gear for *most* operations.  
    When I converted my IV-1050 from bungee to Grove, the net weight gain was 12 pounds.  Quite acceptable to me.
    In regard to bounce, unless you are dropping the plane from several feet up, bounce is not a factor.  Know your plane and how to land it, know your landing spot and bounce is not a thing.
    Unless you are competing in hardcore STOL or flying super aggressive back country operations, the Grove will work awesome.
