Not engaging in an argument, but yes, I would very much like to see a 2-stroke Detroit Diesel engine without a gear driven roots type blower.
Please educate me.

For the record, ALL 2-stroke Detroits have a blower. These are not super-chargers they are blowers to move the air through the ports to the combustion chambers and evacuate exhaust gasses. Without the blower it would not run. They do not provide boost over standard atmospheric pressure.
Later, more powerful engines added the turbo to gain boost over standard atmospheric pressure.
Great looking project, BTW. Have you ever tuned into the "Bus Greasemonkey" on YouTube? He's a traveling Detroit mechanic who only works on old GM busses.

Reach out to Hal Stockman from Zipper Big Bore Kits. He has a good cash of used parts and sources for more.

Av8r3400 added a post in a topic AOA
I have an AOA in my plane. It is an awesome addition to my flying and I believe an added safety measure. I use the Dynon dual input pitot tube hooked to my D180. This also outputs an audio warning into the intercom.

It is proof that many people are ignorant, panicky, animals, who believe all of the bullshit the left wing propaganda machine produces.

I upgraded to a Grove spring I bought used. It's for a model 7SS, but I was able to adapt it to fit. Cheap, durable and indestructible.

I would not put ULS (OEM 100 hp) jugs and pistons on an old UL. The higher compression will tear that engine apart. You'd be better off with the low compression kit that I used on my engine. Much less stress on the (weaker) cases and bottom end of the engine.

I didn't think that Luga/NR was compatible with direct drive engines unless you use their solid core blades.

One of the reasons that the first thing I did was to torch off all of those damn rod end bearings. The dumbest idea ever for a rudder hinge!

With an inactive engine from (very humid) Florida I would be very concerned about internal corrosion of the steel parts. Unless it was well pickled, the crank assembly is most likely not serviceable any more.
