    We will of course need a complete report on the Prince as compared to other props you've used.  Another fellow, flying an S7 Rans sure likes his and has compared it to a Catto and ground adjustable three blade of some sort.  Ultimately he preferred the Prince. And of course you know who that is eh?

    I do believe that your defense statement would sound good but......you are never in trouble with the FAA until you're in trouble with the FAA you know?  Unfortunately you don't get a trial by a jury of your peers when dealing with the feds.  What you get is a kangaroo court.  The outcome is predetermined.  The results are certain.  I have heard old timers say for instance, that you are a heck of a lot better off flying on an expired medical than lying to get a new one.  If you get caught.  Anybody ever had a ramp check?  I don't know anyone personally.  I'm sure they exist but where they exist I cannot say.

    Here's a cheap hydropress technique from Brian Carpenter if you want to make them out of aluminum.  For just a onezy twozy form they can be made of MDF and shaped with a rasp.

    This is a good question.  I wonder if one might take a new style part and have it measured by the industrial rubber store for durometer.  Those stores aren't common but there used to be one on the Peninsula south of San Francisco.

    Since I broke my back in January I've spent an awful lot of time banging around between flying forums looking for company.  This here is a working man's forum.  On balance you guys get more done, in less time, and shut down your internet activity earlier than any other group I hang with.  Way to go.  We got a thread here where a guy picks up what looks to be a pile of trash in January and by spring he's ready for paint.  Amazing.  The Biplane guys take years to get the engine cowl on.  Me?  I don't do anything.  Maybe it's time to sell it all off and just buy an airplane.  In any case,  all y'all are asleep now so I'll see ya tomorrow.

    The one I'm trying to figure out is how to shut off the damn e-mail solicitation.  It all started when I sent a few bucks to a candidate in 2010 and now they all sell those e-mails to each other and I get over 100 gimme gimmes a day from these knuckleheads.  Why would I send'm my money?  I don't even like them people.

    I think that it's all about the operation.  Many of us, and by that I mean me included, simply don't know how to get the performance and utility out of the two strokes that you do.

    We've had three Mercedes.  Two gas and one diesel.  The first gas was a '67 finner 230 with four on the floor.  Great car but it died of cancer at about 200K.  The 300D was a fantastic ride.  It's odometer died at 465K and I commuted with it for another 3 years.  When I sold it it was using about two quarts of oil per tank of fuel.  I told the guy I sold it to that the engine was worn out.  It probably had about 600K on it when I sold it to him.  He called me a week after the sale and said I was right but that he had ordered the parts and would have it back on the road in a jiffy.  He was an A&P with Alaska Airlines.  
     
    The E300 gas went for 321K when we turned it in for an Accord.  What a piece of crap that Honda was.  Holy Cow never again.  
    A Mercedes can be a handful maintenance wise but the basic engine and transmission will go and go.  Just learn to troubleshoot and replace the modules when needed and they well never let you down.
