NorthIdahoAvidflyer added a post in a topic Reregistering in order to get repairmans cert?
I went through this a year ago. You probably got your answer but here it is in short. If you plan to use the old registration you won’t be issued a repairmans certification. Luckily mine had never been registered so I took pictures and proved 51%.
I’ve know people in your shoes that have de-register the aircraft, rebuild and plane, re-register as it was build from parts (no need for bill of sale from anyone), proved 51% and was able to obtain a Airworthiness Certification and a Repairmans Certification.

NorthIdahoAvidflyer added a post in a topic Sold!! Mountain Avid for sale
As much as I hated to see her go the Mountain Avid left Idaho today in route to California. A friend of Joeys came up and bought her. Joey promised to look over her for me. Damn good little plane but it’s to for something bigger

Worth every penny. Man that's going to make someone a very nice plane. I wish I was in a place to own it. Good luck selling it.

Teal is a great guy to deal with. I highly recommend him and you can trust anything he claims.

They stopped making them a few years back. When everyone heard they were stopping production everyone (including me) ran out and bough the last ones. You can still buy new internal parts. You will have to look for a good used one.

Release of liability??When you guys have bought or sold an Experimental have you signed or had the buyer sign a form to release of liability? Is there any such pre-made form out there for this?

Yes I spelled it out to him last night. Basically told him that he needed to come look at the plane himself, take a ride in it, make a decision to buy or not, pay me and then its his to load and haul away. I'm not going to put up with anymore bullshit. If you cant come get a plane you buy you might want to reconsider the purchase in the first place......just say'n.

Now the drama starts. When I have agreed to buy any airplane I've had the means and ability to go get the thing myself. I've been asked to haul it to them, fly it to them, check someone out in it and meet them half way. If you can't come get the damn thing yourself don't waste my time.

Did that. The first time I tried to drain fuel from them they leaked for an hour. I'm selling the plane so its getting new (rebuildable) ones so I dont pass a problem onto the next owner,

Curtis DrainsI need to replace the curtis drains on my Mark IV. Does anyone happen to know what I need to order. The auto o-rings I installed are not working. Every time I check fuel they drip. It's annoying. I'd like to get something that I could replace the o-ring in when they need it.

NEEDED!! Rotax 912 electronic accessory bracketsThe 912 I am using on my Zenith 701 project came off of an Avid Mark IV. The stock brackets for the coils and modules are removed and the whole electric assembly is moved to the Avid (and maybe even the KF) engine mount. I need the stock brackets to put it back to stock. Does anyone have these laying around? Picture attached. I would like 32, 31,30, 29, 28, 14 and 43. If I could just get the brackets (29 and 14) I can find or make the rest.

NorthIdahoAvidflyer added a post in a topic Bill of sale
Same as SuberAvid....I checked the box "built from parts" and got away from needing a bill of sale or receipt from the factory. I had to do the 51% checklist also and it was easy.

The difference is mine is castering and the one pictured above is steerable.

You are correct. I have the same set up on the Magnum and it handles wonderfully. It steers very easy with very little brake pressure.
