    yeah my hks  mounts like a buddys 503 in a avid .my avid with hks has a green sky mount.but the motor was bought from them also at the same time.Kinda surprised they wont help you out!!!!!

    Hi , If your vibration is at idle rpm this is normal. I am running HKS on my avid and keep idle rpm around 1100 rpm.Contact the people at Green sky adventures for all the help you will need. Dont hav the contact info near me at the moment.(just google it,good people)

    If nothing else is working I would check compression. Allmotors 2 or 4 stroke require fuel, spark and compression to run. Ihave seen 50 hrs on a 2 stroke require piston rings to bring power up to specs. I have rebuilt lots of performance (was in the business) 2stroke motors (bikes, sleds, quads)and a slight reduction in compress would surprise you in ahurry Just a thought ??!!!.Regards

    Hi mike  I do not have any pictures on this computer,however aircraft is in my garage now with cowls off so I will try to get a few soon. I am in Saskatchewan close to North Batttleford.I bought this Avid from Ed D antoni in Calgary several years ago. He sold 582 that came with kit and went with Jabiru 2200 but didnt like required maintenance so ended up with HKS                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Steve

    Thanks TJay I have only 1 tank and would feel better with 2 no matter how good hks is on fuel.Some strong headwinds on Canadian prairies LOL.Is this done with wings covered,I have no idea how this is done.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Regards Steve

    I am running the HKS on my avid MKIV also and love it. My numbers are similar to yours, I am considering trying a IVO IFA, currently running70 inch power fin three blade                               Regards Steve
