   Post on Why are mags remoted in Two Strokes

   Is there any reason that the mags on a 582 need to be remoted?  I am replacing a 532, which had two coils, and they were both remoted.  I am putting in a 582 and do not see any prevailing reason to remote them.  They are currently mounted on a metal plate just under the carbs (when engine is inverted).  I would like to leave them there.
   Any thoughts?
