Dumbest show I've ever seen

I admit, I'm a Discovery/Science channel addict.

I've just watched the dumbest airplane related show I have ever seen. "Confederate Flying Machine" These guys "build" from period sketches a flying machine that was suggested by a confederate scientist/inventor. Originally to be built from wood/linnen and powered by some sort of steam engine these idiots built it out of what looks like steel racking frames with a wood wing covered by ceconite, a steam engine of who knows what design and a modern prop.

When they achieve 700 rpm they determine it is enough to get this 600# thing off the ground (RC controlled thank God). It goes down hill from there.

It was like a train wreck, I couldn't turn it off...

Wonder if that was the bunch of PHD "Rocket Scientists" that did some dumbass things on other shows?

I think PHD stands for "Phoney Hazardous & Dumb", or any other words you can use without going to jail !

And to think that they get paid for that garbage!!!
