new viking 110 -- honda fit core conversion

Hey guys, been on the road traveling back from OSH stopping at kit plane companies...in Colorado now.

I like the UL POWER line also! The 350i is selling at $20,500. The Just Aircraft is swinging a larger prop. I'll follow up on that scenario.

Regarding the FADEC, they were a Bosch unit for years. They have taken that technology and created their own. In theory, there are thousands of ECU's in service worldwide. There is a dual option for that also.

Here is a link to our UL POWER AERO ENGINE WIKI SITE:

There is a host of info here. I'm so new that we haven't put up my info on this site yet.

Keep your Airspeed Up!

Didn't see much presence for the Honda Fit engine conversion this year at OSH, maybe I missed a booth in the exhibition area? I did see and snap a couple pics of what I believe was one of the early test mules, a JUST Aircraft Escapade IIRC, on display in the UL exhibition area.

Any photos of the radiator setup Doug?  Looks like a crowded cowl.

Ed, I think you can see the radiator bracket in the front (right below the blue hose) of Doug's first engine picture. All of the Viking engines I've seen (except those being used as a pusher) have the radiator bracketed on the lower front of the engine. This picture (found at the link below) of the Escapade seems to confirm the position with the large front cowl air scoop.

I see it now - Thanks RobS.  Wonder if the UL can take a Warp or IVO 3-blade?

If they needed the weight that far forward, I would have dropped a  Big hp Subaru in it with a short mount!
