Made some good progress on my wings today

Recovering my wings and horizontal stab is the last big step in the restoration of my airplane. We've only been working weekends and one or two nights a week on them so progress has been slow but we got them looking like wings again today. We also got everything marked out for the rib stitching and got some taping done on the false ribs. Couple of pics

This plane is a blast to fly around inside the hangar.

How difficult/easy was dealing with the scalloped trailing edge?

It was not that big of a deal at all. I love the look of the scalloped trailing edge.

C5, Nice looking cover job.  Did you use certified fabric? How tight are you going to shrink the fabric, 300 deg or 350 deg?

Looking good! I've seen several bat-wing Avids 'updated' to solid metal trailing edge. To each his own I suppose, but I think you did the right thing.  ;)

I used certified Ceconite 102. Probably a bit overkill but the difference in weight is minimal. My A&P is doing the shrinking work. I just watch that part....  ??? I'll have to ask him what he has the iron calibrated to.
