Wood fairing on lift struts

Another question on my Avid mark IV, the wood fairings have sharp edges on the front, where it meets the liftstrut, a very small edge.  Do you fill that and make it round with the strut?  The sides have an edge before it tapers toward the back point, is that rounded into the taper.   The other option is to just cover and let the fabric do the rounding.  What is the proper procedure?

Fair it , sand it and make it look as good as you want it to look before you cover it with the fabric. Thought the fabric would do more than it does, think paint, it does not fill any faults.
