Piper Short wing

Got to fly this Piper Short wing last winter in the Talkeetna Range with Don Lee.

Landed on Rainbow lake.

Flying up the drainage.

Going back down.

My first plane was a PA-15 Vagabond, bought for $4500.00 in 1978.    That price included lessons up to "solo".

It had the Lycoming O-145-B2 engine, maybe 55 - 60 HP on a cool day.     I put about 900 hrs on it over the 12 yrs I owned it. Went a lot of places, including Michigan to SW Florida.
