Is any commercial source making the conversions or redrives for the 800?  Exhausts for planes?

Tail rotor departed the Heli! Successful shut down and auto. Flattened the gear but it didn't tip over.

see that shit, even the heli cant handle the power of the cat!    Sweet deal he was experienced enough to do an auto!  I have only done them on my RC heli's one out of 4 times when I lost a tail rotor.. Took me a few to figure that trick out!  The other one you can do is a running landing if you are already in forward motion.

Joey!  I was going to play that out quite a ways.  Gotta try and make him sweat for a while...

Seriously, I did talk to those guys about the motor and install.  They had a lot of issues with the ecm, and found that the aftermarket computers don't work as well as the OEM 'Cat computer to run the injection systems.

Thats why I have the stock ECM and CCM module for mine.  I am not sure if I have to keep the stock gauge pod or not with it, that is one thing I will have to test and see.  Did they say anything about the power, what RPM they ran it at etc?

Ok, google to the rescue.  Been trying to figure out what an 800 AC motor was....  Arctic Cat 800!  See, here in the midwest, 'cat means something else entirely, it's usually very big, very heavy, and doesn't have anything that would work in a helicopter!  Forgot that all you Alaska guys think about is snow machines!

The only thing I see in the picture is good technique for stick handling   oh, I guess when I zoom out there is a heli in the picture :lmao:

Snowgos and aircraft... is there anything else?  well, besides my boats, rafts, wheelers and other toys that you have to have to enjoy AK

They have Cats in Alaska - One year before I left, a cat operator dug up a 22 lb gold nugget - really made the headlines!
