Paul is close by to me so I called him up tonight and got a few more details on this plane.

 

It was finished in 1998 has right around 100 hrs on it. Has a 582 Greyhead. He built it right after retirement and has decided to retire from flying all together.

 

Stol Wings w/tanks in both wings

 

Basic Avionics. Includes handheld radio and transponder (sounded dated)

 

If anyone is seriously looking for a bandit I would be willing to go and look at it for you. He's only a little over an hour away from me by car.

Where did the 'Bandit' Model fall in the Model C, Model Iv, etc.?  I have what I've always thought was a Model C/Model IV hybrid, but it looks identical to this one - same cowl, same tail, etc.

The Bandit is a Mark IV, except it comes with a fabric leading edge, sling seat and no finished interior. I have the stol wings, 7/8" lift struts and .083 wing spars.

I believe Bandit said his was a whole lot lighter and got off quicker than the other Avids and Kitfoxes - He has a lot of hours of experience with the 503 - Pardon me - just butting in!
