LCD DISPLAYS

I just bought a lighter-plug-in digital voltmeter for $1.50 from China - It works, but now I wonder if the LCD display will hold up in freezing temps, and high temps, unlike an LED display which may be more tolerant of temperatures.

My calculator lives in my truck and has never frozen. Lots of LCDs used in the automotive world for many, many years...

Thanks for the info Larry - I don't use my truck enough to keep the battery charged - Analog gage just didn't give me enough info, so thought for the price I would try this one - Someone in ebay Experimental Aircraft section is selling the same one for about $23 - I did have to pay $4 for shipping.

My truck wouldn't turn over at 10.x volts today, but charged at 13.5 volts after jumpstart.
