532 STARTER?

Is the 532 starter used on anything else - E Drive?

My LEAF catalog shows the same starter # for 447, 503, 582, and 618. Doesn't mention the 532, but I'm sure it's the same. That is with a magneto end starter. The E box uses a different starter. Jim Chuk

Jim,

    Lots I donno about these engines - This is the one that sticks out into the firewall - Didn't think 582 had that?

Looks like the one on E drive...Anyway - Going to scrap out rest of 532 after selling carbs, redrive, exhausts -

 if there is any parts someone needs.

The E box is the only one with the electric starter on the prop end of the engine. The A, B, and C gearboxed engines if they had an electric starter, it was on the opposite end (magneto) of the engine. Jim Chuk

Jim,

     I had never seen a photo of a 582 with the starter sticking out the back like the 532 - Figured they had made a different design that didn't stick out.
