Runway extention progress

I tried to find the topic I originally started on this runway addition so I could update my progress, but couldn't so I'll start another.  Basically, I have it ready for grass seed, but it's been so dry around here that for now it's just sitting.  Anyway, here are pics of it as it looked this evening.  Also, my grading equipment, such as it is.  The upside down log trailer has 3 - 16' long channels welded crosswise on it, and if the dirt is to loose, it's all the D6 can do to drag it.  The truck frame with the blade in the middle is 26' long from center of wheels to hitch and I can raise or lower the front with the tractor hitch to adjust the cut.  It actually does the fine grading pretty good after I got the bigger bumps out with the log trailer.  I wish the rest of the field was as flat as this part is. I have a roller I made out of a big tank to pack with that is 30" in diameter, and 5' long.  It's filled with sand so it's pretty heavy.   Maybe next year I'll take the hump out that always helps to mess up my landings.

Looks nice! I love ingenuity, my drags are a lot smaller but I don't have a d6 to pull them with, just my side x side.

It's gonna be sweet when the grass comes in. How much length does that give you now?

Sorry the runway pics came out fuzzy, they were better when I looked at them before I up loaded them to this site.  Just using my cheap old phone camera for them.  The strip is now 2000' long between the low trees and brush.  Jim Chuk
