Yeah Joey, AND your fuel was paid for! Yes, a dream many years in the making. I am sure they would have preferred to do this trip in the Widgeon and splash in for some great remote fishing, but the fuel cost differential must have been significant to opt for taking the Seneca. I know he was talked into blogging about the trip by a mutual friend at OSH, whom I suspect is the driving force behind all the social media stuff. Hell, I don't even have a Facebook page and would rather twerk with Miley than tweet myself. Sure wish I was going, at least this way I can follow along!

I have made several trips from 48 to Alaska, and several trips across Alaska at maybe 35,000 feet.

There is a world of difference in doing that than flying an 80 mph little bird thru a narrow pass with 50 mph headwinds, (another reason I have 4 wing tanks), or flying below the trees and landing on a sandbar to fish for salmon.

Or, flying a Champ 4000 miles, Missouri to Alaska across Canada. (You can drive the trip about the same or less time.)

Those guys will have a trip that is somewhere in between the two, but sure to be a great experience.
