Make an offer!  COMPLETE kit.  Kit #148 AB. All factory recommended upgrades are here.  I have ALL the manuals and TONS of other reference material.  EVERY thing is here needed to complete and cover the kit.  EXCELLENT condition.  NO engine.  Engine mount is for a Rotax 582.  Some instruments.  See my other post to view photos of the kit.  I can post more photos if needed.  Askiong $12,500 Canadian (about $8,750 - $9,000 US)   All reasonable offers considered.  Thank you for looking.

 

It is killing me to sell but I now have an Airdale Backcountry s/n 007 to complete that will take up my limited free time.  If I can't sell it the Catalina goes back into storage.

SOLD!  Looks like Catalina kit #148AB is sold.  Should be picked up on Saturday September 12th.  That will be a very SAD day.  I am going to miss not seeing it in my garage.  

 

Didn't get what I was hoping for but life goes on.  Actually, kind of gave it away ... $8,500 ... Canadian! (about $6,300 US) .  A bit of a steel for such a complete kit in almost mint condition.  ALL the bits and pieces are there, right down to all the fabric to cover her.

 

A few photos of what she looked like today after I hung the wings.  It is back in the garage waiting to be picked up and looking a little sad.

Well ... she is on her way to Southern Ontario and her new home.  See attached photos.   New owner is Dale H.  A bit of an Avid nut ... like the rest of us.  LOL   Seemed super thrilled and excited to get her home.  He has owned two others.  One Avid Amphibian and one Catalina both had droop tips.  Best of luck Dale and please keep in touch.  Can't wait to see her complete and flying. Now ... on to working on my Airdale.  : )

Sorry if you are unhappy with your purchase. If you need or want a quick solution that recoups most of your investment, here is an option I'd like you to consider.

 

I understand you believe the kit is only worth CDN$5000. I will pay you CDN$6750 cash for this kit, undamaged and exactly as received from Brian (subject to inspection, of course) and pick it up within just a few days depending on your location. That offer obviously is the average of the two valuations, a price which seems quite fair to me and truly a gift for you if your comments are serious (it represents a 35% premium to what you've stated the kit is worth). By my calculations, that would put you only $500 approx. out-of pocket vs. the time and hassle of taking the kit back to Brian for a full refund ($8500-$1200=$7300-$6750=$550). Depending upon your location, kit condition and my travel expenses, I may even be willing to add on some or all of that CDN$500 to make you whole.
