Mile Hi Ballet

I had forgotten about this one until I found it on Emmet's Vimeo page. This is the famous (infamous) Mile Hi airstrip in the Idaho Backcountry. It's a 30% slope that videos do NO justice and it sits at 5800 MSL. The DA this day was close to 7000. This was on about my 5th landing and watching the video it looks like no big deal but in the cockpit it was pretty scary. It took full power and three people pushing on the struts to get moving again from where I shut down. Figured the commentary was good for a laugh. This was an epic flying day with Steve Henry, Ty Ferkin (son of Highwing LLC), Emmet Welch, and myself. We were the only group out of 100 airplane fly in that landed all the most difficult strips on the Big Creek drainage that weekend.

YeHah.  Great video and landing Joey.  You can tell you are coming in a lot faster at that DA.
