Voltage Regulator Suggestions

4 posts in this topic

Posted

Having an issue with my DC voltage creeping up with engine at full power.  Creeps up to 16V, holds at 14,5 at 5,500 RPM and below.

I am assuming a faulty voltage regulator (I have the one that came with the Kitfox kit,)

I was thinking of using this one.  I had one on my PPC and it was rock solid.  Any reason why not to or other suggestions?

Most replacements end up using the Key West Regulator. I've never heard of a KW failure, it's considered pretty much bulletproof.

Use Bear all the time (especially during my PPC days).  Fast service and great customer service.  The Key West is working great, dead solid at 13.8.
