Here i post the build process of my plane...

i'd like to share the mod i made with my wing (please don't think i'm fool ;) and forgive my bad english language)

Ok.. My kit came complete but unfinished with short speed wings well assembled. I' d prefer stol but but we do with what and i didn't want extend long speed cause it is not very smart in my eyes, mostly with washout and short flap on it, and i alway thought that the flaps on speed are way to low from the trailing edge because there position is defined by the fuse and no aérodynamic purpose.

So i decided to go with the upper line of the stol airfoil as the root rib (this is the upper surface and thickness which make the lift) and a half extension of one rib. In that mod i didn't touch the general assembly so i gained time and money and will have the stol airfoil exept the dragging under camber: magically, with comparison and research, i near match the kitfox airfoil.

Here we go !

First i remouved tail ribs and caps trick with hot gun :

a.thumb.jpg.afae8107f65261c836e9ac123833

2- I made a wood piece to match the stol airfoil and glutted with gussets

c.thumb.jpg.6888bff7230d00e53e2d2a1fa6bc

3- I lowered the trailing edge as the stol the same way (on pic you can see the diff between speed and stol, and the reason why the flaps are so low for the speed)

d.thumb.jpg.7e15d0bbb2e20d9047ac2669cd63

4 i put new ribtails for the tank i wanted to keep

5- I made false ribs on the tank to match the  stol airfoil (the speed tank is going from stol at the root to flat speed) in the pics, there is not yet fiber on them

i.thumb.jpg.6bb8e009b84dbb6c8f30a380d01c

6- i made one section extension and extended a bit flap with rounded foam tip( lucky, there was the flap spar continuing at the edge for about 15 cm)

and after common building, the new wings were finished

That's it :)

Wow!  Beautiful craftsmanship, Manu.  I'm curious to see how well that works.

Not many can afford to have a full "Cat Scan" of the airplane for quality control!

thx !  one thing i cross fingers, is the original tank, i see many issues over here, but in france , not so many... i thing we have less alcohol in SP 98 here and, using premix is maybe less corrosive...

yeah, and i even don't know if it not leaks already cause it is old and when tanks are still new and clean, better must be the sealing.

But i think/wonder of doing something to save weigh and do a perfect sealing of those big flat tanks:

cut a window on the root side of tank , and seal with a brush, problem is how to close it after? any tip is welcome...

Very nice build job. I'm interested to see how the performance with that airfoil will be.

Wish you were already flying this :P. I'm rebuilding my speed wings, and have considered extending them.

Anyway, good job so far. Keep up the good work. It looks very nice.

Getting close now! Do you have any pictures on how you attached your cowl bubble or dealt with where the cowl splits in half down the middle and the bubble? I have the same problem but right now I just fly with a hole in the cowl.

i 'll try to answer in simple words...

the bubble is in middle of the half cowls, i riveted one side, mastic and paint, and i added carmlocks for the other side (the moving cowl for carb inspection)

will post some pics monday evening to show ..
