Posted 17 Jan 2016 It looks like there is a guy on barnstormers making wing tanks for kitfoxes, He says they are ethanol resistant, I would think they are fiberglass. I'm just Glad to see people still building parts for us little guys yet. Just search Kitfox they will show up. 1 person likes this

Posted 23 Jul 2017 (edited) If you have tanks now, it is just a matter of opening up the top fabric between the rib and the tanks, cutting the center ribcap if there is one, removing the old tank fittings, removing the tanks, putting a squiggle of GE Silicone II on the ends of the new tanks, dropping them into place, replacing the fuel outlet fittings, and recovering. Don't forget to put the drain in the bottom. Hope I didn't forget something? Oh yes, some Kitfoxes have braces glued between the end of the tank and root rib - you need to cut them off before removing tank. I don't think Avids have a root rib. Posted 15 Feb 2019 I am rebuilding a kitfox IV wing, since it's been 15 months silence on here, does anyone have tank options I should consider?
Posted 15 Feb 2019 Pretty sure you can still buy them for a Kitfox IV from the factory, so I assume you'll looking for less expensive alternatives?
Posted 15 Feb 2019 Look at Barnstormers. Search ads, write in Avid parts. The ad says wing tanks.
