Prop Spinner - Does it make a difference

One last task I need to accomplish on this bird is the prop spinner install (this is the large aluminum Kitfox spinner that comes with the 3 bade GSC prop).

Question is, other than cosmetic, does adding it effect performance at all for this configuration?  If so, what changes would be often realized?

Would be great to hear from anyone who might have tried this with and without on a Kitfox (to include the cowl effects from the round cowl).

I think if it makes any difference would depend on the cowl type you have. My guess (and my guess and $4.00 will get you coffee at starbucks) is that it will make a difference in the cheek radiator cowls because it should help direct air where it is supposed to go to cool the engine. It probably won't make much difference if you have one of the earlier cowls that do not take air in next to the spinner to cool the engine.

As far as a speed improvement I have no idea. Lots of planes flying with and without.
