Just thought I'd post some pictures of a L19 that I've painted, I've been helping on this restoration project for about a year now.

I loved flying the Birddog L-19!   The one with the constant-speed prop was really hot compared to the fixed pitch.   EDMO

Funny that's a 1953 I believe, definitely Korean war era, Now the new unmaned aircraft have made this type of plane obsolete. They had rockets for marking target's on some and some crews put 50 cals. In the back. They were isued out to every NATO country back then.

I flew it in Germany in 1960-62.   I posted a picture of one with 7th Army markings and fixed prop on here a long time ago.   EDMO

With a CS prop?  What variant is that?

They came both ways - I never flew the fixed prop version.  I loved flying that plane!

I was too young for Mr. Truman's Korean War, (so-called "Police Action"), that cost the lives of 33,000 of our soldiers.

Beautiful paint job.  Thanks for the memories.   EDMO
