Not sure what an underseat primer is, but if you are referring to a primer for the carb/engine, what kind do you have?  Often times you will find a snowmobile primer used on our type of planes, probably just as easy to get a new one.  A regular aircraft primer has replaceable O rings in it.  JImChuk

I have one scavenged out of a Piper. Put a few dollars of O rings in it and it is like new and rebuildable.

No, sorry Jamie, I meant that is what I had in mine. I bought it from a mechanic for 20 bucks. He even gave me the O rings. Just an option for next time! :)

Once you pull one apart , they are kind of scary.

One 5 cent Oring is all that keeps the fuel out of the cabin !

That is not very comforting

i may look for one from a piper or something to rebuild and swap.

not much difference in the piper or cessna ones either other than they unscrew.. your still left with a cheap oring that goes bad and lets it leak.mine is long enough and easy enough to get to that I can reach over and pinch it off and tuck the line behind itself to shut off flow to the primer.  I know this because I had to do it a few years ago in the middle of a 3 hr flight.

These primers are so cheap that they should be on your replace list every year at the condition inspection.

Do any of them at least have a double o ring or room to machine a groove for a second one to be added?
