Mike, where are you located? That would help a few of us that are looking for parts and pieces.

I have bought a Avid MK 4 when it was delivered the wing pins were missing. Do you have a couple of wing pins or can you tell me where I can get them? Thanks  john

John,  My Kitfox 4 manual calls for the clevis pins to be AN395-85, and Avid should be same or similar in Spruce catalog.   4 required.   EDMO

 Fuselage to Front Spar:

  •  5/16" x 3-1/32" Spar Clevis Pin: AN395-97 (or MS20392-4C97)
  • Safety Pin Clip: sized to above Clevis Pin

If you prefer to use bolts rather than removable Clevis pins, you will need:

  • Bolts: AN5-30
  • Flat Washers: AN960-516
  • Castle Nuts: AN310-5
  • Cotter Pins: AN380-25-3

Doug,  I wonder why the difference in my KF4 manual pin size and the size you listed AN395 - "85 vs 97" ?  That's big difference in length.   Guess too long is better than too short.   What is the name or specs for the bolts with the hole in the head that you can use for lifting?    Are they just eyebolts?  What AN#?    EDMO

Glad it helped!  I have the two I need, but if I lose them I'll let you know (provided I don't lose them in flight....)

I think the original poster is Mike Butts.  From Massachusetts. I've seen his add on barnstormers.  Also talked to him on the phone last fall about the fuselage.  Older members here may remember a guy who flew a Jabiru equipted MK IV from California to New Jersy maybe 5-6 years ago.   The owner had a handle like 'Master of the universe' or something like that.  Somehow Mike got the plane and is parting it out.  Then again,  maybe I'm wrong on everything.  508 is a Ma. prefix though.   JImChuk
