You know there was a bit of trash talk about jab2200 powered KFs on the other channel. Something comparing to an old T crate in performance. I have to say that wasn't my experience. In fact, there were two at my home airport and I had the pleasure of flying one on a few occasions. Not a rocket but it certainly was no slouch either, even with 2 souls and 1/2 fuel. Very smooth and really sipped the fuel when loafing along. I think it is better suited for the KF Riblett wing vs. the Avid airfoils, though I'm excited to see how Tjays lightweight KF1 with the under camber ribs performs.

I am still wondering about those 10 gallon aluminum tanks in that Speedster.... Who makes them?  Do they last?   EDMO

Hey Doug,  I see where Paul walked that back a bit about the comparison to the cub.  I wasn't offended by it.  I do agree with what he said about the large prop on a 912 being a better match for our type of planes.   I liked my Jabiru, but if someone wanted to trade me a 912 for it that was just rebuilt like my Jabiru is, they wouldn't have to ask twice.  And  I do agree with you about the Kitfox 4 airfoil being a better wing.  Still can't believe how well that Kitfox 4 with the 503 performed that I rode in around Pensecola Fl.
