Fall/Winter Flying

It's been a while since I posted some pictures so some of these are way back last fall from times when I got out to do a little plinking along the Kahiltna River and the Yehtna.  The later ones were out flying with a buddy who just completed a Ridge Runner this summer.  We built a set of pedestals for his skis to give it a bit more prop clearance.  On this trip the muffler on his Rotax 670 blew out and started to fill the cabin with exhaust.  His girl friend flew back with me while he flew back with doors open; a very cold flight.  Unfortunately after we got the muffler repaired he folded a gear leg probably the extended height of the pedestals contributed to this so he is going to have a taller, stronger set of gear built.

Some great alpenglow on Mt Denali and Foraker; I can't help but take pictures of them.

Awesome pictures again Randy! Thanks for posting them up.

Great photos Randy - If I had known about the Ridge Runner flaps and ailerons I would have used a set of them on Foxy instead of making my own!  EdMO
