Insurance ?

Looking at a kitfox 4 with a 912, called the insurance company they quoted 2500 per year for a student pilot with 12 hours. Does that seam high to you? The quot was  from regal in oregon

With being a student pilot insurance will definitely be higher . There are several companies you can try just like car insurance.

Here in Canada, I have third party only at 400$ and full comprehensive (includes third party) at 1450$ (avid Catalina/rotax 912)....not a student anymore though (650Hrs)

Give Falcon insurance a call.  You have to be an EAA member though.  No matter what though, you will pay a lot being that it's a tail dragger, and you have very little flying time.  USUA also has a policy they sell, but it's just for liability ins.  JImChuk

I started out with Avemco. I'm down to $900 a year now with 20k Hull.

Just renewed mine through Falcon (EAA) with Old Republic Aerospace Insurance.  $1011/year with $50k hull.

I use First Flight Insurance.  Quite reasonable.
