It probably feels like you're driving a truck.

Ha ha, that's  exactly what I was thinking while flying it.

What do you have for and engine in the Champ.  I flew some in a 65 HP Champ.  Hot days also.  No where's near the climb of the Avids or Kitfoxes to say the least.  Did a BFR in a 7CCM that had a 90 HP.   That was a good bit better.  JImChuk

Awesome, Mark.  A traveling machine!   Is it a 65 or 85 hp?

Got my TW training in one. With 2 guys in the summer it was a dog but still a blast.

Yes, I know it will not get in like my Bandit but still a fun airplane to fly. It should be better to give rides in though. Not a super stol but it will be fun to give rides in. It has an A-75 in it which should be good, but still only burns a little over 4 gallons per hour.

I'm sure it will be a blast to have fun with.  Very roomy 2-seater with decent performance.

Steve K, guy I camp with (the 503 guru) has a C85 powered champ and I've seen that perform pretty well, loaded very heavy...

Nice. Insurance is probably cheaper than your Avid too.
