Backing plate and prop spinner

The spinner and backing plate is drilled for mounting holes and appears to have been mounted but I guess they must have installed them with nuts by reaching in from the back side of the backing plate. I have an idea to bad nut plates as shown in the photos. Maybe a dab of epoxy? Silicone? What do you guys think? I'd like to be able to change the nut plates out if needed and don't really want to rivet them in although that is still an option.

Rivets would be your best bet . That way they can't shift or fall off .

+1 on the rivets, glueing to the aluminum is not a good option.  Might I suggest hard rivets but pop rivets will work also.

Why would you want to change them later?  Aluminum rivets drill out real easy.

You know that's a good question. I have had to remove and change them on other projects but this should not be an issue. It was just something I got stuck in my brain I guess.

With that said I pulled out the tools and installed the nutplates. Here are a couple of pictures.
