Trying to talk myself into sewing my own seat covers Figure I built everything else why not give it a go. So my question is should a guy use cloth of vinyl. Any pros and cons would be appreciated thanks.

Cloth!!  Cordura. It’s tough and breathable.

Vinyl will give you the butt sweats something terrible!

Totally agree - Vinyl sucks!  I don't know much about Cordura, but a lot of synthetic (Poly?) materials have lots of static electricity buildup.  For just "covers", preferably removable and washable, you cant beat 100% cotton or at least a 50% cotton blend, like denim or sailcloth.   EDMO

Good to know,  Cordura 1000 is actually what I made my baggage compartment out of. So for you upholstery guys what is the normal fabric on seats the 500 cordura of the heavier 1000?

If you ever had a convertible with vinyl seats you would know - you have sweat in the summer and freezing in winter!  Anything is better.  New Zealand sheepskin is also nice, but harder to keep clean.   EDMO
