Adjusting alignment on Airedale bush gear?

3 posts in this topic

So, my MkIV came with Airedale bush spring gear. Plane tracks to the left. I checked alignment today and the right tire has quit a bit of "toe in". Left is nice and straight if not a touch toe out as wanted. Any ideas on proper method for adjusting it before I start tweeking things?

Thanks!

That side on blocks, the wheel off, a 8' long pipe on the axle. (protect the threads, leave the nut on)  Toe in is easier to do, cause you can use a cable come a long and pull against the tailspring.  Be careful you don't go to far.  At least that's how I've done it with the standard gear.   JImChuk

Thanks JimChuk, I read that in my builders manual on the stock gear. I can't see any options on the spring gear other than do it that way also. Something about intentionally bending your airplane freaks me out a bit but it is what it is!

Thanks again
