Water Skimming

Howdy.  Curious how the Avid Flyers handle water skimming.  Because of the short fuselage I worry about to much drag when the tire touches the water.  Have any of you attempted it?  What speed, flap config, etc did you use?  How did the plane feel when you first touched the water?

Thanks

It's not much different than doing a ski pass on unfamiliar snow.  Carry a bit of speed (60 mph) some flap to keep the nose down and let it sink to a light touch down.  Push the stick forward a bit to keep it on the water and have fun...
