First flight on skis

Well I finally was able to fly the Avid on skis today.  Must be the second earliest date in the last 15 years or so.  2 years ago, I flew on 11/20.  Anyway, it was nice, although a bit bumpy.  First picture is looking out the bottom of the door at the ski, with a frozen lake underneath me.   JImChuk

We had about 3-4" yesterday on the runway, and got a couple more last night.  I would have been ok on wheels yet, but we had more snow a week ago when I put the skis on, and then we got a day that hit almost 40 and some of the snow went.  JImChuk

We had about 3 or 4 more inches today.  Supposed to be light winds tomorrow and about 30.  To bad I'm driving south tomorrow for a bit cause I'll miss a great day of flying.  JImChuk
