B model question

Looking a buying an avid flyer that shows as a b model by the registration but it has doors that look like an a model. By that I mean that the bottom of the door or doors sill is not long like I have seen on b models and c models. So my question is is this an A model and they just called it whatever they wanted to? Has a C model cowl too. Very confused. Help appreciated!

A model is 36" wide at the top of the seat back.  B and others is 39 1/2" wide.  A model had a welded in motor mount originally, B and later were bolted on.  JImChuk

Thanks JimChuk. So a b model could have either one of the door sill lengths depending on the year it was made?

No, the B models should all have the longer bottom on the door. As far as I know, only the A model had the smaller door, and the 36" width.  JImChuk
