Later Avids, and all Kitfoxes used this type of aluminum trailing edge.  You can have them cut the 10' lengths into 3' 4" lengths for cheaper shipping for no charge.  You will end up using them in about 3' long pieces anyway.  JImChuk

Jim  thanks for the reply.  Question. Do you cut notch for each rib tails or install in short sections?

thanks Joe

I've just done short sections (3' long)  between the rib tails.  JImChuk

I got longer sections and cut them out to fit the rib tails.  If I was to do it again I would do it like Jim and just put a section between each rib tail.

I believe they came In short pieces in the kits as well.  I know the Kitfox 1 did.  JImChuk

I also used 3 foot pieces and glued in some aluminum tubing .035 inside the trailing edge.

I had the trailing wire in the Model B I totaled on a High Sierra strip, but my replacement MK4 does not use that system. In fact I thought all MK4s had  the straigt edge instead of the bat wing.

I also have 3 false ribs between the main ribs. A friend bough a MK4 that had 4 false ribs between the main ribs. Sure did help the climb.
