Larry or Brett,

How about some info on the Avidale? Which fuselage does it use? Power? Wings? Etc.

Okay, I really don't know much, but here's what I do know:

fuselage is a mark IV Avid, heavily modified

Power is a Blue Head 582

I think it has HH wings

He has (I think) a set of Aerocet Floats for it as well (photo of the plane on floats is on his website home page).

I recall correctly, he modified a set of Aerocet amphibs for hydraulic retract. He had it on a bobbin at the SPB during OSH 2009. Just finished painting it the week before, sure was shiny!

NICE! Always glad to see another new Avid hit the air! Tell Brett to get his mangy ass on here everyonce in awhile and give us some technical support. I know he has shit loads of free time to just sit around drinking beer and surfing the net HAHAHAHA

The plane experienced flapperon flutter several years ago, the test pilot (not Brett) landed safely and as far as I know, the plane has never flown since.

Its Areothane.

Did he have the balance weights on the flaperons?  If yes, any idea what caused the flutter?  JImChuk
