Camping at Columbia

I set out for a dirt strip on a Lake North of here on Saturday but had to weather divert. We ended up at Columbia O22 for the night. It's a cool grass strip with a nice campground. Town is only 1/4 mile walk on a nature trail. The town is set up like an old Gold Mining town complete with Actors, a Blacksmith, Saloon, and horse drawn carriages. Today a friend of mine in an S-6 led me around some of his home turf.

The last picture in the canyon looks as if you're playing chicken with someone. :buttrock:

That's my buddy in front of me. At the end if that there was a drop off right off into a reservoir. That gap is where they diverted the water through when they built the dam. There was people camped on the beach right there they got a good show when two airplanes suddenly popped out of the side of the hill.
